Community Garden
The Trent Vegetable Gardens has operated a community growing space since 2010.
Currently, we support 16 community garden plots. Our community garden plots are available to students, staff, and community members- all are welcome! To be as equitable as possible, and to provide opportunities for new gardeners to gain growing experience, individuals are limited to one plot each.
Our community garden plots are available by donation, and include access to tools, water, and limited amounts of straw and compost. No gardener is ever refused for a lack of funds! Community gardeners are solely responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of their respective garden plot and the surrounding aisles.
We ask that community growers follow ecological growing practices, such as:
- No use of chemical fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides, 
- Proper composting of weeds and organic matter, 
- Avoiding the planting of invasive or noxious species 
Due to a large influx of requests for growing space, we have created a waitlist for garden plots. Allotment will occur on a first-come, first-served basis. Find our waitlist below:
